Niels Molenaar specializes in real estate transactions, project development, construction, leasing, and commercial contracting. He advises and litigates in matters concerning acquisitions, development projects, and commercial contracts, among others. His expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts is central to his practice, especially in complex real estate and development issues.
He represents retail chains, real estate companies, project developers, domestic and international investors, and banks. His clients value his strategic and pragmatic approach, both in advisory roles and in dispute resolution.
Niels holds master’s degrees in both Civil Law and Criminal Law from the universities of Amsterdam and Groningen. In 2013, he completed the prestigious postgraduate specialization program in Real Estate Law at the Grotius Academy.
Prior to co-founding Mobius, Niels served as general counsel at Schönhaus, a large private real estate investor. Before that, he worked at Allen & Overy in Amsterdam within the Projects & Real Estate team, where he was involved in large-scale development and contracting projects.
